The SmileCompare Standard
SmileCompare personally vets every dental clinic in Turkey before listing them, scoring each against our standard covering site visits, materials traceability, sterilisation protocols, clinic licensing, named clinicians, and ongoing review. Clinics that fall below the standard are removed. This page documents how we verify clinics and the commitments we make to every patient.
Why SmileCompare exists
Dental treatment in Turkey can be life-changing — but only if you find the right clinic. Too many UK patients are let down by brokers who take a commission and disappear. We started SmileCompare because we believe patients deserve better: a comparison platform that personally vets every clinic, confirms every quote in writing, and stays with you throughout your entire journey.
How We Vet Clinics
Every clinic is scored against our standard before being listed and re-reviewed at regular intervals. The standard covers six core areas:
Personal Site Visits
Every clinic is visited in person by SmileCompare before being listed. No clinic is added on paperwork alone.
Materials Traceability
Verified use of Straumann, Nobel Biocare, MIS, Osstem, E-max, zirconia and other named materials — with batch traceability where possible.
Sterilisation and Clinical Protocols
Documented sterilisation, infection-control and clinical protocols reviewed during the site visit.
Insurance and Licensing
Valid Turkish Ministry of Health licensing and clinic-level insurance confirmed before listing.
Named Clinicians
Treating dentists are named, with their Turkish Ministry of Health registration verified. No anonymous teams.
Ongoing Review
Verified Google Reviews minimum threshold. Re-reviewed annually; clinics can be removed at any time.
How to Raise a Concern
Patients can raise concerns directly with SmileCompare at info@smilecompare.co.uk and we will investigate independently of the clinic.

SmileCompare vs Typical Aggregators
Most platforms introduce you to a clinic, take a commission, and disappear. SmileCompare doesn't. We personally site-visit every partner clinic and stay with you before, during and after treatment. We are not exclusive to any clinic, and we say no to clinics that fall below the standard.
