- What is SmileCompare?
- SmileCompare is a UK-based dental clinic comparison and introduction platform. We connect British patients with personally-vetted dental clinics in Turkey, confirm your price in writing before you travel, and offer UK-based support before, during and after treatment. We are not a treatment provider.
- Is SmileCompare a dental clinic?
- No. SmileCompare is an independent comparison and introduction service. Treatment is provided by partner clinics in Turkey, by dentists registered with the Turkish Ministry of Health. SmileCompare partner clinic dentists are not registered with the UK General Dental Council.
- How does SmileCompare make money?
- Partner clinics pay SmileCompare a fixed introduction fee for verified patient enquiries that proceed to treatment. The fee is the same across our partner clinics, so we have no commercial reason to recommend one over another — recommendations are based on clinical suitability for your case.
- Is SmileCompare independent?
- Yes. SmileCompare is not owned by, or exclusive to, any clinic. We curate a panel of partner clinics that meet our high standards, and we say no to clinics we don't trust.
Dental treatment in Turkey

- Why is dental treatment in Turkey cheaper than the UK?
- Lower clinic overheads, lower laboratory costs, lower dental staff costs, and a favourable exchange rate. Materials used at our partner clinics (Straumann, Nobel Biocare, E-max, zirconia) are the same brands used in UK private practice — the difference is operating cost, not material quality.
- Is dental treatment in Turkey safe?
- Treatment is as safe as the clinic you choose. Turkey has world-class dental clinics — we help you find them. Our vetting standards cover licensing, materials traceability, sterilisation protocols, named clinicians, and verified review history. We site-visit every clinic before listing.
- How long do I need to stay in Turkey for treatment?
- Most cases need 5–10 days for a single trip (veneers, crowns, single implants). Implant cases that require osseointegration typically need two trips: a first visit of 3–5 days for placement, then a second visit 3–6 months later for the final restoration. Your shortlisted clinics will confirm timings in your written quote.
- What happens if something goes wrong after I get home?
- Routine post-treatment issues (cleaning, check-ups, minor adjustments) are best handled by a UK dentist — we recommend booking a check-up in the UK shortly after you return. For anything that may relate to the work carried out by the partner clinic, contact SmileCompare and we will liaise with the clinic on your behalf.
Pricing and quotes
- How accurate are the prices on SmileCompare?
- The ranges shown on our Pricing page are indicative, based on typical 2026 UK mid-market private prices and Turkey partner-clinic prices. Premium London practices and budget Turkish clinics will sit outside these bands. Your written quote confirms the final price for your specific case before you travel.
- How does SmileCompare confirm pricing in writing?
- Every quote we share with you is confirmed in writing by the partner clinic and locked in before you travel. The price covers the treatment specified in the quote — it will not change on arrival for the work quoted. Any genuinely additional treatment requested while you're in Turkey is priced separately and quoted in writing before you accept it.
- Does the quote include flights or hotels?
- Quotes cover dental treatment only, unless the partner clinic offers an inclusive package (some do — airport transfers and accommodation are common; flights are not). The quote will list exactly what is and isn't included so you can compare on a like-for-like basis.
- Are there any hidden fees?
- No. The written quote lists every item the clinic will charge for. If something is not on the quote, it is not chargeable for the case as quoted. Genuinely additional treatment (for example, a problem found during examination that wasn't visible on your X-rays) is always quoted separately in writing before any work begins.
How the process works
- How do I get started?
- Submit the enquiry form with your treatment of interest, approximate budget, timeline, and any X-rays or photos you have. Pinar at SmileCompare will personally review your enquiry and call you back within one working day to discuss next steps.
- Do I have to commit to anything to get a quote?
- No. Enquiry and shortlisting are free with no obligation. You only commit when you accept a written quote and pay a deposit to the partner clinic of your choice.
- Can I choose the clinic, or do you assign one?
- You choose. We shortlist 2–3 carefully-vetted clinics for your case based on clinical suitability, then share their written quotes side by side. You decide which clinic to go with — or none.
- What if I want to speak to someone before enquiring?

Your data and privacy
- What happens to my information when I enquire?
- Your enquiry is reviewed by SmileCompare and shared only with the partner clinic(s) we shortlist for your case. Your data is never sold and never shared with clinics outside our shortlist. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
- Is SmileCompare GDPR-compliant?
- Yes. SmileCompare Ltd is registered in England and Wales and processes personal data in line with UK GDPR. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing info@smilecompare.co.uk.
